Mixing hip hop, rock, soul and electro, the result, Easier with a sampler (2001), was really fresh and as shambolic as their friend Rubin Steiner.
« One, two, three… » As their puspose was to have fun and to evolve, after the coming out of Mr King & The Sonic Destruction (2004), their second album wich was mixing blues and breakbeats, they invited Dick, their other brother (playing drums in “Mobil Session Team”) to join them on stage.
It was such a good way to make their live shows more powerfull.
With Moule Sonic singing and playing sampler, Sam Sonic on the bass, guitar and percussions and Dick Sonic’s supplies to add rythmic tension, Mouloud keeps on making a strong live reputation.
As three crazy guys, they put all stages on fire with a natural attitude and such a fuckin’ energy !!!
« One, two, three, four ! » The three brothers decide to become a real three members band to create their new album “White line”.
Their name evolve too and becomes Mouloud & the Sonic Destruction . It’s a good way to show the difference between this new line up and the original duo .
A good way to affirm their musical evolution too . More guitars, more rock’n roll, but still a powerfull beat box and electronic sounds.
Most part of the songs were created by jaming as “Drop Out” wich sounds like the Rolling Stones who would have been borned in 1976.
The electronic textures hasn’t disapeared at all and go ahead with the songs like “In The Underground” or “My Van”.
We could name a lot of influences, from the Manchester’s scene of the 80’s (Happy Mondays, The Stone Roses) to The Queens Of The Stone Age, from Beck to The Rapture going through The Smashing Pumpkins, but we’ll have to get used to this idea : there is in France a band wich doesn’t only copy what it listens and stays free … its name is Mouloud & The Sonic Destruction
